Lesser Ball Python Python regius
The Lesser Ball Python is one of the most important of the base morphs of Python regius. The Lesser Ball Python will present itself in a wide variety of ways, from a pastel yellow and tan to a light tan and khaki. When combined with other genes, the lesser will add color and enhance the blushing. The homozygous of the Lesser is a Blue Eyed Leucistic. The Lesser is in a complex of genes with the Butter, Mojave, Phantom and Russo. This complex interact with each other and with other genes in very unexpected ways. This is another cool thing about genes in this complex, when you combine them with new genes, you are never certain of what the outcome will be. Though you can be sure that any combination involving the lesser gene will be good.
